The Return of the Monstrous Feminine was a collaborative project with Kira Held for her graphic design thesis project at RISD.

This is the question that was the foundation of the shoot: “What horrors are inherent to womanhood (with an emphasis on adolescence) and how are they portrayed or alluded to in New Wave Feminist horror media and media with horrific elements?”

We pulled from many inspirations, which include but aren't limited to Petra Collins’ OMG I’m Being Killed, Girls & Corpses magazine, the video game Lollipop Chainsaw, Jennifer’s Body, Carrie (1976), Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and Pearl (2022).
